Wednesday MATS A Class!

Hi everyone!! Today is day 3 of MATS A or Make Art That Sells course A-there is A and B. OMG I am loving this class so much. I have been in bootcamp since Feb, and I am lucky that I am slow workwise, I spent the entire day on this. I researched colors, went to Mood and then I came home and took my old sketch (from Monday) and went over it in Illustrator and played with colors, then I decided to add the bird. The black is just so you can see the swatches, cuz I like this design on white or super light bg.

Make Art That Sells Bootcamp Assignment Sketches

I signed up for Lilla Rogers Studios MATS bootcamp that started on Feb 3rd, it's amazing to be part of such a great group of talented artists. As many of you know I have worked professionally as an artist for 18 years, but only have been doing my own art for about 8, because I was always working a million hours at the animation studios-which was great by the way, but I just never had time to do my own work. In the last two years I have really been focusing on my own stuff, but I never even thought about making art that sells. Well since I met Lilla via FB, I got connected with a licensing rep and landed two licensing deals for my pets, now I see a whole world of possibilities for my work.
