New Class Work - Illustrating Children's Books

These are class assignments for my Make Art That Sells Illustrating Children's Books class that I'm in with Lilla Rogers and art director Zoe Tucker.  It's really fun to do something like this not for work but just for my portfolio.

New Illustration Inspired by The Snow in NYC and...

The SCBWI WINTER CONFERENCE. Okay I admit, I had to buy gloves, because I don't think fingerless gloves will do it in 10 degrees. LOL. I am super excited to go to NYC for many reasons. Mostly I can't wait for the conference. I hope you like this quick illustration I finished this morning. I always make a few versions to be social media friendly. Have a super day and if you are on the east coast, PLEASE BE SAFE.

Wednesday MATS A Class!

Hi everyone!! Today is day 3 of MATS A or Make Art That Sells course A-there is A and B. OMG I am loving this class so much. I have been in bootcamp since Feb, and I am lucky that I am slow workwise, I spent the entire day on this. I researched colors, went to Mood and then I came home and took my old sketch (from Monday) and went over it in Illustrator and played with colors, then I decided to add the bird. The black is just so you can see the swatches, cuz I like this design on white or super light bg. This is so much fun!!  www.lillarogers.com
